Mrs. Brooke Osborne
Grade: 1st Grade Mrs. Williams: Teacher Assistant
Hello, my name is Brooke Osborne. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach children at Chapel Hill Christian School. It is my goal to nurture children into a love of learning and most importantly into love with Jesus Christ. I grew up in East Liverpool, Ohio and went on to study elementary education at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. After graduating I taught first grade for two years. My husband and I then moved back to Ohio and started our family. I was blessed to get to stay home and take care of our daughter Madison and our son Corban I loved being a stay at home mom for several years. However, God continued to place the yearning and desire to be back in the classroom in my heart. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to fulfill my calling of teaching here at Chapel Hill Christian School, where my two children also attend. I am particularly excited about being in the first grade classroom. First graders are so special. They are little sponges that love to learn, encourage others, and succeed. It is my prayer that our classroom with be filled with the love of Jesus and that each child will look forward to coming to school each day. It is my goal to make our classroom a comfortable, warm, exciting, challenging, and rewarding place for every child to learn. Accelerated Reader®
Students may choose any book that has an AR test made for it. To find out whether your book has an AR test, consult www.arbookfind.com. Please don't allow your student to read a book and plan on taking a test without checking this list. There is nothing we can do if a book is read without there being a test and they will not get credit for reading it. Students make their own choice with parents overseeing.

What's Special About This Grade?
The students improve in responsibility, organization (they have their own desk for the first time), social interactions, and emerge as proficient readers. Many first grade students enjoy reading because it is not as hard any longer! Six and seven year olds also understand salvation more and how to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
