Mr. Todd Sebright
Subject: Math
My name is Todd Sebright. I began my teaching career in 1966, the same year that I got married to my wife, Mary, who is a second grade teacher at the North Campus. My first sixteen years were spent at the Michigan School for the Blind. The Lord called me to Christian education in 1979. I received my bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1966 and master’s degrees from Michigan State University in 1966 and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in 1981.
I have been at Chapel Hill since 1990. I operated the Discovery Program, a member program of the National Institute for Learning Development, which provided individual educational therapy to students who learn differently, until 2003. I also coached basketball, volleyball, and soccer at the school from 1992 until 2004. I am currently an independent tutor for students who struggle in certain subject areas. I am the Math Enrichment teacher working with students who excel in Math, challenging them to expand their math thinking skills. Three of my grandchildren (Bruno, Lydia, and Joshua Frank) attend the Green Campus, which brings me great joy. It has been a blessing to serve the students at Chapel Hill, especially to keep in touch |

What's Special About Math Mod?
Math Tutoring Students who are struggling or need some extra help in math come to the Math Mod once a week. These students work on math topics that are being covered in the classroom plus basic math facts. Usually, a portion of their time each week is spent on the computers in the Math Mod using various math software that reinforces math concepts worked on that day or gives practice on basic math facts. ACSI Math Olympics Each year, all the students in grades 3-6 take part in testing to select students to participate in the ACSI Math Olympics. Six students from each grade are chosen to participate in this contest - three in the area of computation and three in the area of reasoning. They are "coached" for several weeks before the competition in the Math Mod. Then, the students compete against students from 8-9 other Christian schools in the area. The participants do receive ribbons and/or certificates according to their performance. Major Events Of This Year
